This book examines the unprecedented evidence of Soka Gakkai becoming a world religion from the perspective of Soka Gakkai's founding and Sokaology.
This is the third book in a series compiling the research results of the Institute of Sokaology (Director Dr. Mikio Matsuoka), which was established in March 2019, and presentations from research groups that include external experts.
This third volume will explore the history and definition of the term "world religion" with the theme "World Religions." It will also look back on the history of SGI's acceptance in American society as it advances toward becoming a world religion, and consider the vision for a world religion presented by the third president of Soka Gakkai.
